Project Duncan- Week 4

OKAY here we go...
Basic animatic...DONE-ZO. One of my transitions I changed, because camera angle change seemed to be extra complicated in PS. It may change back once i'm in storyboardpro. what do you think?

  1. My colors are looking a little weird, idk if its how i saved it or what. I'll work on that.

Also, theres a piece of orange in the "jump" that looks REAL awkward. I'm aware. Fixing it now, just not going to reupload :P

  3. Looks great Monica! One thing though that I noticed and idk whether you'd want to fix it or not, but when the tiger is walking before he jumps into the bush...it might be nice if the background moved a bit with him you know? :o but yea looks pretty sweet I love it! Great job figuring out that tiger jump too! :D <3 Can't wait to see it all done!!!

    1. YES. I agree with you. A flaw of Photoshop. I will be fixing this in Storyboard. THANKS FOR NOTICING THOUGH! It makes me happy when people notice the small stuff...is that weird?

  4. It is awesome! It has very nice color choice and it clearly tells the story. It is so heartbreaking when I see the tiger loses its home. Your animatic is good! For me, I would fix two things. The first is not easy to figure what that is when I first see it. Show more of the person's eyes or face could be better. Secondly, I would adjust the timing where the woman seals the check and mails it out. Slows it down a little bit. It is too fast for viewers to figure out what is going on before she mails it.

    1. gotcha thanks. I wanted to keep her super anonymous, to apply to any person...but i may have gone too far in the other direction. But I'll work on both of those things. thanks!

  5. I really like the transitions in your piece, and when you get into storyboard pro don't loose the style of your animatic cause i think that style best suite this piece.(like the paperish style type stuff) good work ^__^

  6. I think it was a great idea how you started the transition with the bulldozer and then showed it on a bigger scale with the plane. it really gets the point across.

  7. Great feedback from your peers! I'm sure you have already conducted an exhaustive search for tiger walk reference--the only thing your walk is missing is an extra key to show that the legs are moving forward (right now they are scissoring--or twining). Look at this reference: https://vimeo.com/4246875
Also, watch your A/B screen space when the figure goes to her wallet and retrieves the money. The camera flips 180 degrees from her watching TV to getting the money. Look at this for help:
